Loch Tay On Your Doorstep First time staying here and absolutely loved it! Situated a stones throw from the stunningly beautiful Loch Tay. Some of the cottages have a Loch view, ours didn’t sadly, but that was ok. The accommodation is classed as cottages, but I would have called ours a two storey house! Amazing inside, huge lounge area, good sized kitchen and big bedrooms. It was lovely and warm, it was clean and had a lovely comfy king size bed. There are good facilities here, however, the restaurant didn’t open on Mondays or Tuesdays, but it was no problem, we ate at the Court Yard which was just across the road. We used the pool once, it was lovely but the water was cool/lukewarm at best, once you were in it was ok. Nice jacuzzi too. All of the staff we encountered on site were nice and welcoming. We only paid £160 for 3 nights for 2 people, what an absolute bargain! We didn’t want to leave, and will definitely be back soon. Thank you.

Absolutely disgusting - would not recommend Very disappointing. Accommodation was smelly, dirty with a range of maintenance issues. We were woken up at 10.15 by a member of staff saying that he had come to take photographs of ‘the bugs’ but then said that he had got the properties confused! We were offered alternative accommodation next day but were told it wouldn’t be ready for 3 hours. As this was a short break, we decided to leave. Poor customer care and currently in dispute with the company. We have stated here many times so very disappointed at the obvious deterioration in many aspects in recent years.

Not worth the money, amateurish service. Rang up on a Sunday morning in early January to book for one night. Was told there were no vacancies. As I was about to hang up I was told - ‘oh look we do have one vacancy’. Sure, for £180, which is a lot. Was told we couldn’t check in before 4:00pm, unless we paid £20 extra, which is the first time I’d ever heard of that policy. This resort is not customer-orientated, in fact that was just one instance where we experienced amateurish and borderline hostile treatment, like it was some cheap motel on a roadside. Our room was a two-level one bedroom apartment that was nice enough, but after we settled in we found that the heaters didn’t work except for in the bedroom. When we called the desk about this we were told there was nothing they could do because no maintenance staff were on duty (or on call? Mmmmk). When I insisted there needed to be something done, I mean, we couldn’t use the space if we wanted to! We were told we could move to another lodging. You mean, there actually were more vacancies and you lied to us? Or is it a miracle! It was 9:30 pm and we were already huddled in bed so we decided to just bear it for the night. We retrieved an extra duvet from the cupboard and noticed a yellow stain on it. Gross. Next morning I asked the same person if we could have a later checkout and I was told simply ‘no’. When I asked why she said ‘we don’t do that and we’re understaffed’. Nobody asked why we wanted late checkout, if we needed temporary baggage storage or another reason. We weren’t offered anything at all for our inconvenience, a token voucher for a drink even, not even an apology. The restaurant was mediocre, overpriced fish and chips was greasy. I wanted to complain to management but nobody showed up and dealing with the woman at the desk was a drag. There are much nicer places to stay in this area, wish we’d taken a moment to check hotels.com the room cost was only £89 with several vacancies.

5* luxury no more There is no doubt the setting is idyllic and we have returned here time and again. It is one of our favourite places. Sadly some of the accommodation & facilities are deteriorating badly and our recent experience was unfortunate. We were allocated a property - cottage 40 - which is not only badly in need of refurbishment but was dirty with stained carpets & upholstery. We were moved to a different cottage which was lovely but despite phone calls, emails & online contact submissions we have had no response to our concerns from Diamond Resorts (now absorbed into HGV) of which we are longstanding members. Nor have we had any offer of explanation or apology for our inconvenience from the management at The Kenmore Resort. This poor customer service experience in particular leaves us feeling very dissatisfied and makes a mockery of the ‘Welcome Home’ signage emblazoned at reception. How sad!
