Good value hotel Just back from a 2 night, mid-week, half-board stay at the Lyndene Hotel Blackpool. An older couple, mid 70's, we were a little concerned at some of the previous comments on TA regarding this hotel, but were pleasantly relieved to find our concerns unfounded. We booked preferential parking, £10 per night, and would recommend this to avoid parking problems during your stay. We asked for a quiet room and were very pleased to be given a sea view, double room, no 119 on the second floor. Yes there are a lot of steps at this hotel! Luckily, our room was near to the 2nd floor lift, but on the odd occasion that the lift was out of order during our stay, the stairs were challenging. The room was perfectly adequate for our stay, very clean with a comfortable double bed and ensuite shower and toilet, again spotlessly clean with a very good hot, powerful shower. The towels were clean, fluffy and a good size. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice of hot and cold food, well cooked and presented. We had no complaints about the quality or quantity available. Evening meals in the Washington dining room was at 5.00pm, the later time of 6.15 was not available, meaning that we missed our evening meal one night as we attended the matinee show at the Grand Theatre. The option of a later dining time would have been helpful, but no big deal as we went to the nearby Wetherspoons instead! We enjoyed the dinner we had at the hotel, which was very good, with a wide choice available and the food hot, tasty and again well served. Evening entertainment at the Lyndene was lively, with very good country and western tribute acts during our stay, quite loud, so we sat to the rear of the room and had no problem getting a table and seats, going later in the evenings. All the staff we met were friendly, helpful and happy to help guests enjoy their stay. We enjoyed our stay at the Lyndene Hotel, finding it very good value for money and will be very happy to return.

No rest at all not disabled friendly I sent an email 4 days before we was due to come explaining my mum is elderly can’t do steps and can we have 2 rooms close to each other but they ignored the email even after sending a 2nd email on the Sunday. The hotel is not for the elderly or disabled so many steps and we was put down 2 lots of steps at other end of hotel up a lift and more steps. Our room was also above the stage that went on loud music until gone midnight we had no rest at all. The floor boards above creak thought they was going to fall through and they was at it until 6 am. The rooms was not but to hot made my mum ill. If want a rest don’t come here you will not get a rest. The food is alright not a big choice but do they bring it to you. Check in the s late at 4pm compared to all other hotels at 3 pm and check out here is 10-30 compared to 11 at other hotels so you don’t get long for your money. Also my mum is in her 70s and I am on my 50s we paid in full but reception staff demanded a bank card details and made us tap it on the machine which we do not owe the hotel anything and never done that at any other hotel. My mum wanted to go home at 10 o clock at night this is not a nice hotel and reading the reviews on here not many do and reading the replies the ignorant managers don’t care either they especially the night manger his replied are rude

Night from hell We have stayed in this hotel a few times before so booked to go back. Omg never again the reception staff are rude and unhelpful. We was dumped in a room that was at the back of the stage at one point dolly parton walked out the bathroom to go on stage. We payed £15 for late check out we did not sleep all night as the noise was horrendous. We had people trying the bedroom door the room above us didn't shut up with music and talking all night probably one of the worse hotel experiences we have ever had go else where its awful
