Outstanding I don't often write reviews but felt compelled to. The welcome from Solveija on reception was the best I've ever experienced. This lady needs a pay rise! I felt really looked after. She upgraded my room with out me asking - to the tower suite which was fantastic! All staff - bar, breakfast and reception were great and couldn't do enough. Breakfast was really good- you MUST try the honey they make from the local bees! Spotless room and fantastic service 10/10!

Average stay, expected better. Not our first stay here so I booked with secret escapes as our first stay here was good. Booked in no problem our room was up the stairs with a lovely view we were told. There were 5 sets of stairs as our room was right at the top of the building. There is no lift! The room itself was ok the bathroom was very nice with a shower over the bath. The room was very cold so we had to mess around with the heating in order to get the room warm. The window was so small all you could see were the tops of the tall trees. Our nights sleep was very broken as the pillows were so uncomfortable. Breakfast was standard a small amount of continental, coffee from a machine and full English on a hot plate. The continental would have been the sensible choice as the cooked food was luke warm. Would I stay here again based on this visit it would be unlikely. ☹️

Black tie meal with atmosphere! The Cheltenham and Tewkesbury diners club held their black tie meal in the Lakeside Suite. The staff were polite and professional and very friendly. We're looking forward to visiting again

2 night stay We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The staff were extremely welcoming and professional. The first room we were given had a very strong drain smell so we immediately asked to move to another room. This request was granted without hesitation and the next room was lots better. However it was very tired and in need of re decorating. The bathroom door on the inside was so damp at the bottom the paint was peeling and wood curling up. The sink and bath took ages to drain… I only showered but in doing so the bath would fill up and take forever for the water to go. The carpet was very tatty in places and stained in the hallway. Breakfast was wonderful with a great choice of food and drinks and attentive staff. However the ambiance at dinner was not great. The tables were not covered with a cloth so no change from breakfast time which was disappointing. The lighting was very bright in the lounges which didn’t give a relaxing ambience at all.
