60th Birthday - Smashed It. I’m just coming down from the high of my 60th birthday party which was last night. I had over 60 guests in the Conservatory and it was ideal. The welcome and service was excellent. Sam was nominated to look after us. There was ample food and it was piping hot and really tasty. They topped us up a couple of times. One minor issue was that our daughter in law is currently off milk; the hotel couldn’t provide anything that was guaranteed milk free. In fairness we never thought about it in advance. Can’t fault it as a great venue.

Lovely cosy atmosphere We had a lovely getaway night at the Mere Court Hotel on 26th of December from the time we arrived we were greeted by a lovely staff member called Chris who checked us in and he was chatty and friendly towards us. Our room was very spacious and clean and the super king bed was so comfortable. We had drinks in the bar once we dropped our bags into our room. The bar area was cosy with a lovely atmosphere and also with friendly staff. We could not fault our evening meal and again the service from the staff was so good. A young lady called Sophie served us and ensured we had everything we needed and came to check if we needed more drinks etc etc. We will definitely be returning it was a pleasure to stay here x

Felt like home from home whilst being well looked after. Just spent a lovely Christmas at the Mere Court, so relaxing, so comfortable and so well looked after by kind and thoughtful staff…Santa was especially warm and wonderful. It was a very reasonable package, bed breakfast and evening meal… with a mulled wine included. We were able to take our dogs and walk them in the extensive grounds which they loved as did we (as we didn’t have far to go with them).. our room was enormous, warm and had an incredibly comfortable super king size bed (and another which would have been great for families) we had a good sized jacuzzi bath. We didn’t want for anything.. the views from the windows were gorgeous and wintry - so glad we were warm and cozy. And finally the food - good three course Christmas lunch… no skimping on portions here… and the breakfast buffet was scrumptiously inclusive of everything you could want to eat… I just want to thank the whole staff for being so welcoming making our Christmas so lovely. I want to go back every season to see the changes in the grounds and sit and watch the fountains in the lake with a variety of drinks to hand… and say hello to the staff who I could count as my friends now.

Didn’t leave dissapointed. We visited Mere Court for Christmas this year. We usually dine at the same restaurant in Warrington, but as it was my mother’s 70th birthday in December, we wanted to treat her to something a little different , and we were not disappointed. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed in the lounge by a well presented gentleman who, despite already speaking with other guests, immediately acknowledged us as we entered. We were offered the option of enjoying a drink in the lounge, but as our party had already gathered, we chose to go straight through to dine. The Christmas tables were beautifully set, and the room had a lovely festive atmosphere. We were seated promptly and informed that everything would be table service. A couple of minutes later, the same gentleman returned with freshly poured glasses of champagne for the table, a thoughtful touch. He chatted with us briefly before introducing our server, Annie, a lovely young lady who looked after us throughout the meal with a constant smile. All of the food was delightful and well presented. I enjoyed the lobster, roast beef, and Christmas pudding , all cooked perfectly and served piping hot, all my family where just as impressed. Our reservation was for 2:30pm, and although we were initially concerned about being rushed, this was not the case at all. The pace was relaxed, with gentle Christmas music in the background adding to the atmosphere. My mum even had a photo with Santa. Towards the end of the meal, we were offered tea or coffee, which we declined simply because we were full. As this was our first visit to Mere Court, we left extremely impressed and will certainly look to return in the future.
