Disappointed A warm welcome at reception, but sadly down hill from there . Lift dirty, room dirty, clean bedding and towels. We stayed two nights , ambulance attended three times during our stay to care for residents living in the hotel. One resident very drunk , at the cliff edge, ambulance called. All residents polite and friendly but some noisy at night going into each other's rooms. No breakfast, adviced to walk to the sea front. Perfect sea views, a real shame to see what could be a lovely hotel in such a run down state. Pleased to see rooms being used to prevent people living on the streets.

Norbreck not good! Saturday 31st/25 The pictures of the hotel on Booking.com are a total misrepresentation. It looks clean and welcoming. The hotel was absolutely filthy from the reception area to the rooms. Our room 302 was nothing short of disgusting - from the brown smears on the wall, heavily stained carpet with an unfortunate smell to the dirty bathroom. The 3rd floor hall way smelled like a cigarette had just been smoked coupled. Every inch of white trim was in need of a good wipe down with some disinfectant. We paid extra for a sea view. The window was about 12”x12” and we had to strain to see out of it. It’s a shame as the curb-appeal and location didn’t disappoint however certainly not on par with the interior. It’s a shame as the location was great The reception attendant was disheveled complete with dirty, wrinkled off white shirt. We asked to come up and look at our room however he couldn’t leave reception as he was the only employee in the hotel. Unfortunately we couldn’t bring ourselves to stay after about 30 minutes we checked out.

Don't do it The service at this hotel is absolutely shocking! First of all we arrived at the hotel to be greeted with puffs of cigerette smoke blown in our face by another guest stood directly at the reception doors. Upon arrival at the desk we joined a queue at the back of a man who stunk of sweat and body odour, it appeared he lived at the hotel and was shouting back to the man (who was in the office nattering on his phone) asking for toilet roll and a new key had he'd misplaced his. The staff member could be heard swearing from the back to the said man - not very professional? He then joined us at the front desk and checked us in saying we had to pay for the room as my card had declined, I explained I had an email receipt saying it had gone through, he said to sort it tomorrow. We then asked about local places to eat and drink and were joined by another one of their 'guests' who I can only assume was another of their emergency housed individuals as she seemed to live there and was asking the man who reception who she appeared to know well if she could use his charger. We didn't have a very peaceful night and there were people shouting in the early hours keeping us awake and strolling up and down corridors with no consideration for the people trying to sleep. Our email confirmation indicated that checkout was at 11 AM, but an offer on the website stated a 24-hour stay, implying checkout would be at the same time as check-in (we checked in at 6 PM). Consequently, we were quite surprised when our phone rang at 10 AM, informing us that we needed to vacate the room as checkout was at 10 AM. We proceeded to the reception and attempted to present our email confirmation to the gentleman there, only to be informed that "things have changed." He then proceeded to request payment for the room. I again showed him my email confirmation, which clearly indicated that I had already paid. However, as I was unable to access my mobile banking at that moment, I agreed to pay and requested a receipt, intending to claim a refund if the payment had indeed already been processed. Overall, the rooms are satisfactory, but there appears to be a significant need for staff training, and guests should be informed prior to booking that this hotel serves as emergency housing during the winter months.

Mission impossible How do I sum this up - people singing until early hours of the Morning, kids shouting and screaming at 6am and pipes rattling ready to explode at 8am - the walls are paper thin - cleanliness is appalling as in sick marks on the wall in the bathroom need I go any further !! A weekend away turned into a nightmare- we were booked in for 2 nights but couldn’t handle another night due to all the disruption. I have added one photograph as the others were videos which I am unable to attach . Says it all really - Good luck should you choose this mission _

Would not recommend Awful experience. Booked 3 nights over Christmas - ended up only staying one night due to loud music, dogs running around barking and just didn't feel safe. Lots of dodgy characters at the hotel, constant smell of weed outside the front entrance. Only redeeming factor is that I got a full refund ....eventually!
