Hit and Miss It seems like a little investment and a better eye for details would go a long ways here. I'm just checking out from a three night stay in late November . Here are reasons to stay here: My ground floor room is spacious and clean. The tables and stands are nice looking and the ceiling is vaulted and visually attractive. A good, reasonably priced breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, on a quiet street with short walks to areas with a lot going on. Theres no restaurant on premises beyond breakfast but they've complied a diverse list of close by restaurants that deliver. You scan their "room service" flyer and a list of restaurant menus pop up on your phone. Small delivery fees. But the reasons for the diminished Star ratings are these: My room is chilly. It's late November and cold out but I have to leave my jacket on in my room because the heat is low and can't be adjusted by the occupant. This is huge for me. I want to be warm. The beds need new mattresses. I won't say theyre torturous but I'd throw mine out if it were the one I regularly slept on. And just because a king size mattress is the same size as two twin, that doesn't mean that putting a king sheet over two twins makes it a king bed. The crease and separation between the two mattresses is is not ideal to say the least. There is a couch but it's worn out and has visible tears. And finally, it's a bit thin walled. It feels like if you spoke loudly you'd be heard by others in their rooms or hallways.

A grothole masquerading as a 4 star hotel. An utter grot hole masquerading as a 4 star hotel. It’s dingy, it’s loud outside and the windows are thin as paper. You can hear someone breathing next door and god forbid if you’re in the basement. You hear everything London has to offer. One of the worst stats I’ve ever had. Don’t stay here. The rooms are dated and dirty.

Smallest room ever The smallest cupboard I have ever stayed in. I could reach out and touch both walls from the bed. No cupboard for hanging any clothes. The bathroom was similarly tiny and uncomfortable. Room also next to the lift which was very noisy all night. And not cheap!

Weekend away Hotel is in a good location. Unfortunately inside is a bit of a let down ,our room was tired and in need of upkeep, there was no hot water from the bath tap ,very low water pressure, and no way to control the temperature in a very hot room. The kettle is kept in a small wooden cabinet which was dangerous when you tired to remove it to poor water in the cups. Staff were all friendly. Breakfast was good.
