Great stay, the hotel is beautiful full of character and charm, staff were very warm and welcoming, we were upgraded to a suite which was a lovely surprise, room was wonderful with views from the front of the hotel across Buxton and the peaks, very sim for table nights sleep, we had dinner bed and breakfast and use of the leisure facilities, food was of a very good standard, loved the leisure facilities too, had a nice swim in the pool, and relax in the steam room and sauna, will definitely come back for another stay at the Palace Hotel Buxton, so near too all the sites of Buxton, loved Buxton too, thank you

I stay at the Palace hotel at least 3 times a year. I think it’s good value for money. The staff are lovely. The rooms have everything you need. The food has always been nice. I am there again to celebrate my 70th birthday. Then again not long after that. I would highly recommend this hotel. 👏😀

Fabulous setting This is a fabulous site and setting for a hotel. Overlooking the town from it's prominent position. Elegant setting with a brilliant cantilever staircase. Bonus of a swimming pool although disappointing that we had to pay to swim even though we were staying at the hotel.

Lovely hotel with great staff, great food and great views We stayed here as part of larger group. We arrived quite early (before the scheduled check-in time of 3pm), so couldn't check-in, but we were able to sit and relax in the very nice lounge/bar area where we ordered some sandwiches for lunch. The lunch was really nice and freshly prepared. When we got our room later on, it was lovely; positioned at the front of the hotel with views over the town and the hills in the distance. It was a large room, very comfortable and warm. Everything in the room worked and was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was large with a great powerful shower over the bath, plenty of towels and the toiletries were in the large "pump-pot" containers over the bath and by the hand basin. We were staying on a half board basis so ate in the hotel for both breakfast and evening meal. On the first night, there had apparently been an issue with one of the ovens, so the hot food wasn't quite ready at the time of our group's first sitting for the designated meal service, which in turn led to a queue at the buffet counter. However the staff did their level best to make sure everyone was served as quickly as possible. Whatever the issue was on the first night, it was rectified by the second night and there were no problems at all. In our opinion (with one of us as a vegetarian), the food choices were excellent and the quality was very good too. The breakfasts were good too; again it was buffet style, but freshly presented and good quality. All in all, we had a really great stay here (our 3rd visit) and we are already looking forward to our next one. Thank you to all the staff for making it so enjoyable for us.

Lovely base in Buxton with lovely staff in restaurant Stayed in the Devonshire Suite with 2 bedrooms, living/dining room and bathroom with separate toilet. Would be great for family, wedding group. Fab views. Huge very comfortable double bed in master bedroom. Waiting staff at dinner and breakfast were lovely and made the stay. Had a swim in the small refreshing pool - there is also a sauna. Faded jewel due to age of building. Hope it gets investment for future.
