Great stay, the hotel is beautiful full of character and charm, staff were very warm and welcoming, we were upgraded to a suite which was a lovely surprise, room was wonderful with views from the front of the hotel across Buxton and the peaks, very sim for table nights sleep, we had dinner bed and breakfast and use of the leisure facilities, food was of a very good standard, loved the leisure facilities too, had a nice swim in the pool, and relax in the steam room and sauna, will definitely come back for another stay at the Palace Hotel Buxton, so near too all the sites of Buxton, loved Buxton too, thank you

I stay at the Palace hotel at least 3 times a year. I think it’s good value for money. The staff are lovely. The rooms have everything you need. The food has always been nice. I am there again to celebrate my 70th birthday. Then again not long after that. I would highly recommend this hotel. 👏😀

Excellent all round Well kept palatial, grand hotel, excellent all round, staff are excellent, clean and tidy, nice pool and steam room breakfast was well presented.

Would not recommend We stayed at this hotel on Saturday 24 January We were given room No. 10 on the ground floor and it was not very good at all!! The corridor approaching our room had several buckets and mops leant up against the wall. These were there for the entirety of our stay. On entering the room, it was freezing. We needed to keep our coats on for over an hour until the radiator warmed up. There was no radiator in the bathroom so that remained cold. 1 pillow each with 2 smelly scatter cushions on the bed. The curtains didn’t have enough hooks and were hanging off on both sides not making it to the end of the curtain track. The net curtain had a cigarette burn. We did not sleep well as after turning the aforementioned radiator on, we could not turn it off or regulate the temperature. We opened the window, but it was literally boiling hot all night. The radiator was huge and right next to the bed. Not a pleasant stay at all and we will not return.

Complete waste of money The only good thing about this hotel is the staff. They are friendly and as helpful as they can be. We had an awful stay in December 2025. The bed in our room was so uncomfortable we couldn't sleep and left feeling exhausted and in pain. The shower was tepid in temperature and had very low pressure. The coffee and juice at breakfast were so watered down they were undrinkable. We complained at the desk before leaving and were told we had to contact a central customer service centre via email - there was no telephone number to call. We emailed to request a refund and received an automatic response to say they'd reply within 14 days. We didn't receive a response after 14 days, so we emailed again and received another automatic response to say they're reply within 21 days.
