The Littlecote House Experience

Soak up the history and character of this magnificent Grade I listed Tudor manor spanning a 113-acre Berkshire estate. Historically, Littlecote House has hosted occupying Romans, a Civil War army, and is famously where Henry VIII met Jane Seymour, his third Queen. It’s home to the last remaining Cromwellian Chapel in a private house, the rooms where the D-Day landings were planned, and a beautiful Roman mosaic. Littlecote is the perfect destination for exploring or relaxing, whether you take a scenic drive to nearby Marlborough, enjoy afternoon tea, or unwind with a book in the cosy library.

About Littlecote House Hotel

Dating back to the mid-1500s, Littlecote House Hotel is a Grade I listed Tudor manor where Henry VIII courted Jane Seymour and the D-Day landings were planned. The historical venue features a selection of guest rooms, all equipped with a TV. Guests can be regaled with a variety of dishes at the hotel's restaurant that has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes. To relax, visitors can indulge in a plethora of treatments at the leisure centre boasting an indoor heated pool, steam room, sauna and a fully equipped fitness studio.

Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea. The food was delicious in delightful surroundings. The waitress was very sweet, polite and attentive. The house itself was very interesting with a lot of history. Would definitely recommend a visit.
