What is an MOT?
An MOT (Ministry of Transport) Test is a mandatory inspection that ensures your car meets essential safety and environmental standards. It checks critical components like brakes, lights, steering, suspension, tyres, and emissions to confirm roadworthiness.
Your first MOT is due three years after registration, and every 12 months thereafter. Driving without a valid MOT is illegal and may result in fines, inability to renew road tax, or invalid insurance.
