It wasn’t as easy to book as hoped but when Tara (apparently proprietor) phoned me back, I was able to book in quite soon. On the day of my wax treatment, I found the location easily but parking there is a nightmare! The salon in minuscule, very cluttered & extremely cold! Tara was the only staff member there & it couldn’t really accommodate anyone else. She was dressed in a padded coat & additional shoulder wrap. She was pleasant but clearly has a lot on her plate. Although my appointment had been delayed at short notice, it was still 35mins after my new appointment time before I was seen. The treatment room was a cupboard too tiny to allow much movement- including assuming the correct positions. Tara was pleasant but the treatment was so excruciating! Since the treatment left instant stubble instead of being smooth, it certainly wasn’t worth the pain. Tara said the stubble was because 1️⃣I wasn’t used to it and 2️⃣that the remaining hairs were the shorter ones growing through from my last trimmer use (4 weeks prior). The pain was due to me being ‘sensitive’. I suspect however that many hairs were not removed from the roots & hardly surprising since there wasn’t room to move, stretch or hold skin taut! For me it was VERY disappointing I’m afraid.
