There’s a variety of bird species on show here, well worth seeing eg golden eagle, bald eagle. I’ve been at World of Wings a few times, mainly to take photographs but this time I took 3 of my grandsons on their first venture here. They really loved it not just watching the flying displays but listening to the very knowledgeable bird handlers giving you a non-stop commentary of each flying bird’s normal habit, it’s history and it’s present populous/vulnerability.
The star of show was Gandalf, a griffon vulture with its 8ft wingspan and the overall performance of the flying and ground manoeuvres from this well trained bird of prey.
Really enjoyed it was a educational exp
Had a lovely day out , staff were so nice. Beautiful birds and flying displays were fab. Coffee also good. Would definitely recommend this place , good for adults and kids alike
Can't rate this highly enough. Informative and entertaining day out.
A must do visit...
An excellent outing with grandchild. 56 different birds on display and 3 different ones take part in the flying displays each day. Interesting commentary from guides and a very welcoming atmosphere at the centre.
World of Wings is a winner!
Very interesting day out. The staff are pleasant and very knowledgeable. We particularly enjoyed the flying displays.
Would be an idea if the staff doing bird displays asked the public watching if they could be quiet whilst the display was on. We had 2 women and a kid behind us and the women were louder than the kid(the kid i understand)total ignorance these 2 grown women showed was disgusting we couldn’t hear all of the facts etc.
Absolutely amazing the staff are so knowledgable and friendly! I’m not an online shopper but was easy to purchase and the staff showed me where the code was! Just seen the demonstration it’s fabulous! I’ll pre book the other demonstration next time definitely! Now we’re going to have some food! I’m also going to look into booking the campsite here
