Customers need to arrive 45 minutes before their session to check-in, be briefed on safety and to get changed. Failure to do so may result in customers missing their session. Customers who are pregnant cannot participate. Customers under the influence of drugs or alcohol, have had a dislocated shoulder or freshly-stitched wounds may not participate. FlowRider sessions last for 30 minutes if there are 1-6 people and up to one hour if there are 7-12 people. The session works by each person taking turns on the ride. All participants must be a minimum of 107cm tall for bodyboarding and a minimum of 132cm to attempt stand up riding. Wetsuit and all equipment provided. The water is a few inches deep so strong swimming is not a requirement. Due to the speed of the water glasses are not permitted on the ride. Contact lenses are allowed although if they do fall out it is inevitable that they will be lost and non-returnable. Spectators are welcome to take their own photographs from behind the safety barrier but are not permitted to take a camera on the FlowRider session.
