Sports Massage with be conducted by a trainee Sports Massage Therapist with experience in massage under the supervision of a sports massage Senior.
You are required not to have any red flags or contraindications
Fever. Anytime you have a fever, whether from a cold, or any other condition, you should not get a massage.
- Contagious Diseases.
- Blood Clots.
- Pregnancy.
- Kidney Conditions or Liver Conditions.
- Cancer.
- Inflammation.
- Uncontrolled Hypertension.
- If your GP has said no to massage
The students are training although they are not going to put you at risk they might make a few mistakes if you are not willing to take a small risk please don't apply.
The format is as follows.
You will arrive 15 minutes before your appointment and the students will talk to you about your issue and practice their communication skills.
You will then be taken to the massage zone ( Note this can be an open format with more than one person in a room or a closed clinic If you have a problem with other people being in the massage room this offer is not for you)
Note you will not be required to be naked at any point of the massage please wear sports cloths and remained clothed at all times. Sports bras should be taken offer when access to the back is required.
You will the get the massage for the 60 mins there will be times where we might stop to talk briefly but not often. You will get at least 45 to 50 min massage with talking.
You will then be asked to fill in a form giving feedback and a tea or coffee before leaving.
