The Arc – The Climbing Academy, Chippenham

The Arc, part of The Climbing Academy, is a bright, family-friendly climbing centre in Chippenham designed for all ages and abilities. It combines indoor and outdoor climbing with a welcoming atmosphere that encourages everyone — from beginners to confident climbers — to get involved. Featuring bouldering areas, roped routes, and auto-belay systems, The Arc offers bouldering, auto-belay and roped climbing. A free auto-belay (think "Clip & Climb") induction is included in the deal alongside free shoe hire. For roped climbing, you must be a competent belayer and go through a competency test with staff in order to access the roped climbing. The Arc offers courses for this but these must be completed prior to using our roped climbing walls.

Families can climb together or take turns while others relax in the on-site café, which overlooks the action and serves great food and coffee. Beyond the walls, there’s an outdoor climbing area, a skate park, and open green spaces, making it an ideal destination for an active family day out.
