Situated a short drive from the Suffolk coast, The Long Shop Museum commemorates two centuries of the region's industrial history. The site is home to a Grade I listed, 19th-Century engineering workshop, a water tower, and Suffolk's deepest well. A collection of steam vehicles includes a rare tractor and a period shunting engine. Further attractions concern the nearby Sizewell nuclear station and Leiston Airfield's connection to WW2. A tearoom serves meals and refreshments, while a gift shop plies mementoes. A regular programme of events includes seasonally themed children's activities, art exhibitions and fairs.
