About British Wildlife Centre
Established in 1997 by David Mills, a farmer who had kept a herd of pedigree Jersey cows on the very same site since 1971, this wildlife centre was created to educate people about the native wildlife. As a privately-owned organisation, the centre uses its profits to improve the accommodation for animals, fuel breeding programmes and fund habitat conservation. Rarely seen species such as otters, Scottish wildcats and polecats, as well as foxes and beautiful free-flying British owls can all be found at the centre. The popular Keeper Talks give the chance to learn more about the animals and the challenges they face in the wild, while seeing them even closer.
