Housed within the former Sheriff Court building, Citation Taverne and Restaurant is an elegant eatery offering a mixture of classic and modern dining. Conveniently located a short walk away from Argyle Street railway station, the restaurant is a jewel in the heart of Glasgow's Merchant City. The dining room enchants with its low lighting and decor in shades of white and beige. The naked-stone walls and empty picture frames hanging on them add charm to the venue where visitors can choose to sit in more traditional padded chairs, on plush benches or in one of the high seats around the wooden, polished bar. The Kitchen serves a variety of classic and contemporary dishes to suit every palate. Meals can be complemented with one of the spirits or cocktails available from the rich drinks menu.

Staff very helpful. Only condition of the seats downstairs stops a five star review

Our deal was for a lunch course with glass of house wine or Prosecco. The wine was lovely and I was surprised it was a large glass as part of the deal. The prosecco was disappointingly warm and flat. The food was lovely and we enjoyed our meal.

Great deal for the cocktails however extremely bad attitude from the restaurant manager/maitre de. Extremely judgmental and patronising. Refused to allow my party of 2 middle aged professional women and our daughters a table or to sit on vacant balcony!!!
