Housed on the first floor of Glasgow’s iconic McCormick Printers building, The Chippy Doon The Lane restaurant aims to offer a fresh and up-market twist on the traditional fish and chips meal. The eatery serves different kinds of fish, ranging from cod and haddock to the more contemporary monkfish tail and coley. The Chippy has two dining rooms that can be hired for private celebrations and accommodate up to 30 guests.
Fish freshly made to order, chips very tasty, home made tartare sauce good.
Excellent Fish and chips, pleasant service Groupon special. I decided to order coffee, yugh, not nice and it was cold , I told the waitress when I paid for our drinks but was still charged for something that was impossible to drink I think it was around 2.60ish for the vile drimk.
First time visit, thoroughly enjoyed would definitely go back.
Nothing special average food
I have been quite a few times to the restaurant and always thoroughly enjoyed, but felt this time the quality of the food wasu Pot the same standard as previous visits, felt the fish was quite greasy, myself and my daughter ordered the lemon sole but not really sure if this is what we received.
Best chippy around! Second to none!
The fish and chips were delicious. The only thing I would say you’ve got to go up a winding staircase to get into the restaurant.
Great food and service as usual
beware of very big portions of fish
Good service and good food.
