Housed on the first floor of Glasgow’s iconic McCormick Printers building, The Chippy Doon The Lane restaurant aims to offer a fresh and up-market twist on the traditional fish and chips meal. The eatery serves different kinds of fish, ranging from cod and haddock to the more contemporary monkfish tail and coley. The Chippy has two dining rooms that can be hired for private celebrations and accommodate up to 30 guests.
Very helpful staff - flexible re choice off menu & time of arrival.
Stairs not ideal for less mobile but no problem for us. Decent portion and batter just right.
Great value, busy restaurant. Ignore the entrance, it is definitely worth going inside.
Beautiful freshly made food. Excellent value x
We just keep going back it’s so good.
Great value for money & food is lovely. Would definitely recommend.
Good food and good service
Great food and really friendly staff.
Good portion of a tasty fish with a large helping of chips . Efficient service with a pleasant manner.
A bit awkward to find initially but a good find when we did. A lot of stairs, no visible lift if anyone has a mobility issue but no doubt restaurant would advise.
The food was very good but the service was atrocious. Our server was one of the most arrogant unhelpful people I have ever encountered. We were made to feel as though we were an inferior class of customer because we had presented a Groupon voucher. A very embarrassing experience that we will not be repeating.
Fabulous service and meal
