The Sunday Carvery is now served plated at the moment, but dont worry it was lovely. Choice of the two single meats, last week beef or pork. Good amount of meat with yorkshire and plenty of vegs. Had to breather before asking for dessert, again a choice. Definitely value for money bearing in mind the voucher is for two people. We had a couple of drinks, not included of our voucher but could be. Staff very friendly. Voucher meal available after 2pm and expiry date 3 mths. Would be useful after a day out. Likely to do again. The chap serving us in the Annex bar (part of the Crown) was great and very helpful. The pie was excellent. However, It was impossible to book online and the phone was generally not answered.when calling to book so had to just turn up and take a chance . The Crown itself was closed but the small Annex bar next door open. The opening times are now different to the website and are very limited.
Very disappointed to get a phone call before our 5:00 p.m. booked Sunday dinner to tell us they had been so busy they were out of roast potatoes. It was a family get together so there was seven of us and I was not culinary prepared to feed everyone and the supermarkets were closed so we kept our booking and we were all pleased we did because the food choice, quality, quantity was really second to none. We had a choice of dolphin was potatoes or mashed potatoes There is a good choice of delicious desserts The venue is not palatial but small and basic
