The Forge in Slindon is a community-owned establishment that combines a cafe, a shop and information centre. A cross between a convenience store, a deli and a farm shop, it stocks a range of food and grocery products, everyday essentials and newspapers. Boasting free Wi-Fi and using locally sourced produce, the cafe serves up breakfasts, light lunches and a selection of snacks, cakes and beverages, from coffee and tea to wines and beers. The information point offers information about the area including the South Downs National Park, and The Forge has cooperated with the National Trust to put together four local paths of different lengths for walkers to enjoy the beauty of the West Sussex countryside.
Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and the food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our high tea and would definitely book again. Thank you to the Forge Cafe.
A lovely find! We enjoyed afternoon tea here which was customised to our individual choices. We visited with our dog who was also made very welcome with a dog biscuit! We will definitely be back to visit the shop and cafe as there are also some great walks from here and it is a great little pit stop!!
