Hengist, Aylesford

Housed in a Grade II listed 16th century building, Hengist is split into two levels with downstairs serving all-day brasserie-style dining, and the upstairs hosting more refined dining in the Conservatory and the Crystal Room with a Champagne room to boot. Originally converted into a restaurant in 1980, the timber-beamed building has recently been refurbished to bring the dining experience into the 21st century and guests can look forward to a menu of British fare with a la carte, breakfast, casual, Sunday lunch, terrace and cocktail selections to peruse. The eatery is located within a 15-minute walk of the Aylesbury rail station and caters to diners of all ages as well as those looking for a take-away coffee to put some extra pep in their step.
