From Our Editors

Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre allows visitors to take a step into the past, and experience the amusements of generations gone by. The bright and slightly surreal fair features an array of vintage attractions, including a ghost train and a penny arcade. There are funfair exhibits from the 19th century, and a sizeable dodgem track for guests to speed about on, and respite from the entertainment can be found in the on-site cafe and gift shop.

Really lovely re-living fairgrounds from the past, great music too. Thought it was time well spent here.

Brought back a lifetime of memories of fairground visits . The centre was very professional in all aspects and was certainly completely different to what I expected. Certainly a place I would recommend for all ages whatever the weather

If I hadn't have had a voucher for reduced entry I would've been very annoyed at having to pay £9 per adult and £7 per child to them have to spend a fortune on tokens to go on the rides of which there are few anyway. We went during bank holiday and it was busy but only one member of staff to three rides meaning we had to wait ages to go on anything. Also the penny machines didn't pay out on a win and the grabber machines just took your money and then didn't work, but no one was around to sort it out! I was very disappointed as was hoping for a full day out with the kids, but we did everything twice over in 2 hours. Cafe very expensive, too. Shame 😞

Nice relaxed place. We spent further on tokens which you had to have to go on rides. We bought food in the cafe which was tasty/fair size portions. You could bring a picnic as there were picnic tables outside the cafe. Somewhere to spend a couple of hours rather than a whole day but we enjoyed it.

This is a good place to go when the weather is not so good. I enjoyed showing my grandchildren how funfairs used to be when I was a child, especially the ghost train! Good cafe facilities and friendly helpful staff/volunteers helped to make the day a great success.
