SnowDome offers winter sport enthusiasts access to a 170m real-snow slope all year round. Visitors can find or improve your snow legs with a series of skiing and snowboarding lessons. Non-skiers can enjoy the large swimming pool, ice rink and children’s snow play area. After a day out on the slopes, guests can warm up at one of the bars or restaurants on-site.
Great value offer, wonderful experience. Highly recommend
We chose the 2hr beginners snowboard, and there were 11 of us in the group. I was given the wrong size snowboard to start with by the techies which was a bit worrying. Lots of people in the group spent most of the lesson sat down not doing much, and the ones who showed a bit of promise were strictly told not to try and do anything other than the two things that were being taught that day. (Because they want you to come back and pay for level 2 course - who actually didn’t look much better than us) There was a rope lift you could use to get back to the top, but again, we weren’t encouraged to use it (even though a few of us just did anyway)and I think a lot of people sat out because they were tired of unstrapping and walking to the top each go. Improved pedagogical approach needed, eg: differentiated approach for people who are “getting it” more quickly.
The booking process was fairly easy, just make sure to book in advance and to make sure details are correct to receive your confirmation email
Great place to learn to Ski. So many other things to do here too.
Not used this one yet, but booking experience is always very straightforward. Having booked and used these vouchers before, they are excellent value and SnowDome is a superb venue.
Very easy process to redeem the voucher and book a lesson. I bought it for my sons to learn how to snowboard. Both had a brilliant time. The instructors were young and very helpful making it an overall great experience. They loved it and could board confidently by the end of the three hour lesson .
Lack of actual tuition, as well as one autistic child being left halfway up the slope on his own for over half an hour! Had to ask twice for someone to go and get him down! He now never wants to return!
Friendly staff. A well maintained slope. Hard compact surface compared to some but consistent, not icy and good to learn on. First snowdome in country. Travelators but save hanging onto drag lifts. Great place to learn
Excellent dome with friendly instructors. Only 4 stars as no clothing hire which most other domes do have. When good enough to do top of the slope there are travelators..easier than being pulled by a T bar or pummel lifts.
