From Our Editors
Fitting into the natural environment, Wirral Golf Club covers the highest open land in the peninsula. Originally designed by a local lad Harry Hilton as nine holes, the course was later extended to 18 holes featuring traditional greens often elevated to deflect or stifle the wavering approach shot. With just under 5000 yards for ladies and under 5200 yards for men, a round at this venue can be completed in under three hours, making it suitable for players of all ages and from all backgrounds. The club offers restaurant facilities, where guests can enjoy a hot or cold drink and a bite after their game.
Nice club with friendly staff. Short on distance but testing. Two holes off due to ground conditions (waterlogged) but didn't disappoint overall.
Just one small gripe, as this course uses Groupon and invites non members it would be handy to have a course layout with the scoring card, to help those who do not know the course.
Nice short course with great holes
Easy booking and great course with no temp greens for time of year (feb) excellent service at clubhouse would highly recommend
Course very wet resulting in trolley ban on the day we played.Didn't spoil the day but may be worth checking prior to travelling if you are unable to carry your clubs.Food of a good standard.
