Was a really fantastic event, it was so exciting and yet very informative! So worth the amount it cost, so good for all ages!
About Hawksflight Falconry
Based at Byrkley Park Garden Centre, Hawksflight Falconry hosts a number of birds of prey and owls, and also offers bird encounters. Visitors to the centre can get up close and personal with the birds, learn about their handling, and fly them to the gloved fist. The falconry centre also organises hawk walks as well as tuition days and courses for future hawk owners. Birthday packages, group bookings and photoshoots are also available.

2 adults 2 young people (10 and 11) we had a really fab time, learnt loads of new things, met the owls, fed them and just lots of fun. Nice activity for a family.

Excellent! Very informative about owls, their food, weight, handling them & "imprints", where the person feeding the owl from a very small chick is seen as the "parent". Enjoyable to have them fly & move onto ones gloved hand too.
The experience had to be postponed as it was due to happen during the June heatwave, when it was too hot for owls to fly. The organiser rescheduled & we were very happy with that, his emails & efficiency.

This is a brilliant experience. David is so knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for the birds he cares for and their biology. He is very good communicator. The experience not only gives ample opportunity to fly different birds but also gain an insight into their eating habits and digestion.

Great 2 hours spent with owl experts who were so friendly and knowledgeable of the birds that they clearly had great affection for.
We were part of a larger group of 10 but we were all given the opportunity to fly the owls to our gloves with plenty of pictures and videos opportunities.
Would recommend the owl experience to anyone

Brilliant experience for my grandson. We went as spectators and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Have bought two more experiences for the older grandchildren.
Dave was brilliant. His knowledge of and passion for the birds made the experience extra special.

We visited as a family group. Two of our party had vouchers as gifts, the rest of us observed and the experience was enjoyed by all of us. The owl handler was very well informed and obviously passionate about the well-fare of the birds and answered all our questions readily. The owl flying was fascinating and it was lovely to see the birds in such close proximity. Thank you for a wonderful day.
