About Stansted Park
Sitting amid 1700 acres of lush parkland and forest within the South Downs national park, Stansted Park is the former residence of the 10th Earl of Bessborough. The mansion boasts lavish state rooms arranged in such a way that visitors can feel the past come back to life, while downstairs it's business as usual at the Servants Quarters, and guests can learn more about the history of the place. The experience is complete with a visit to St Paul's Chapel, which was build on the ruins of the first Stansted House and became an inspiration for the poet John Keats.
