From Our Editors

Originating as a Norman keep, Kelburn Castle and Country Centre now stands adorned with bold designs by Brazilian graffiti artists. Children's activities include a maze, playbarn, and the complex walkways of the secret forest. The site's grounds also play host to wildlife including deer, otters and peregrine falcons, and resident rangers who provide information and tours. Regular events number corporate functions, weddings and parties.

Overall park seemed quite jaded. Main issue for poor score was that the indoor play area was booked for a private party meaning it was not available. I find this totally unacceptable considering it is advertised as included as part of the entrance fee. The home baking in the cafe was a positive.

The weather was amazing which was our only saving grace of the day and time spent with my family is always precious no matter where we are. First time I have ever given a place we have visited a negative review. The whole place in need of repair. The play structures were dangerous outdoors wood and nails sticking out. Such a shame really as it is in such a beautiful location. Would not recomend, have been to loads of places and this is the first place we have ever visited that we have been so disappointed. Do not waste your money the website looks great the place is a dump. The money is being spent on the repair of the castle which you are not permitted entry too. Largs is great though went to the water front and had a great afternoon and evening in the sunshine.
