Mostly OK. Fruit scones more like rock cakes!

Got in at short notice which was good. Felt the place was over crowded. We came via the back door which has a handy car park. Service appeared disjointed people waiting longer for orders or having to remind another waitress where their order was. However the meals we saw were piping hot and looked homemade. Our groupon afternoon tea was the smallest sandwich selection we have ever had. One of the desserts attracted a small payment which we also have never experienced before. Summing up a nice place although leaning on the pricey side

Terrible experience, one waitress only, service very slow. Tired decor, tables all to close together. Sandwich ok but the scone was cold and dry and only serviced with whipped cream. Carrot cake was dry too. All in all would never go back again. Also not worth the money.

A sandwich to share between you, otherwise the quantity was good. The tea room itself is quaint however the room was so hot and stuffy it spoilt my visit and I wouldnt visit again

The voucher was a con trick. It said value £33 for Afternoon Tea for 2 and so we paid £14.95. There were lots of conditions imposed, like no weekends, time limit, booking required. However, when we got there, the exact same item (Afternoon Tea for 2 people) was priced on the everyday menu at £16.50. That was for TWO people, so £8.25 each. So in fact the saving was only £1.55 and we were given the tiniest amount of jam and cream ( a teaspoonful for 2 scones), no butter and minuscule cakes.

Nice tea room. Staff very helpful and professional. I recommend as it’s a good afternoon tea. Cakes a bit too sweet for my taste.
