Asked for medium steak but it was bordering on the rare side. Chips were terrible. Texture was very hard and looked like they were either very overcooked or had been reheated leftovers.

the service was poor, with waitresses leaving diners waiting 10 minutes while both were on break. they did not allow tasting of wine, nor serve it. the awful room with stained carpet, old furniture, bright lights and pop music was bizarre at best. the food mediocre with the chips cooked in old fat. no sauvignon blanc or pinot grigio leaving the choice of wines to start at £22.00. then you have to pay for parking, even if you are a diner!!!. what a waste of time and money

Lighting in the restaurant was too bright, there was no atmosphere at all and no music. And to top it all I fell down a couple of steps going out of the side of the bar entrance. The receptionist said we could use the entrance to get to the car park. It was the other side of the building though so did not help. There was no lighting and so I did not see the concrete steps. Ended up in A&E to have my foot X-rayed. Luckly there was no bones broken, just a badly bruised ankle. I am now resting it. Should have gone back into the hotel to tell someone but could not walk. My husband fetched the car and came to pick me up.

Service was terrible. We were never asked if our food was OK,left with no drinks and sat with empty dessert plates for 20 mins. Waiting staff kept on leaving the room. Food wasn't worth the money either
