The Experience
Discover Sicily on an 8-day self-drive tour of the most spectacular cities and sites along the island's eastern and southern coasts, with accommodation in conveniently located hotels and daily breakfasts.
Day 1 - Catania – Taormina area: after the pick-up of a hired car from Catania airport (not included in the price) and check-in to the hotel, you will have some leisure time to explore the gorgeous city of Taormina and its famous ancient theatre on your own. Day 2 - Etna volcano -Taormina area - tasting of Sicilian wines and local products: after the breakfast, you will be taken on a trip to the peak of Etna, the site of terrifying eruptions of the past, as well as a wintertime ski station. Day 4 - Agrigento - Val Di Noto: the authentic Sicilian Baroque - Valley of Temples Tickets: after the breakfast, check out and join the tour to explore ancient Greek monuments of the Valley of Temples, then continue to the island of Ortigia in Syracuse. Overnight in Val di Noto area.
Day 5 - Val Di Noto – chocolate tasting: after breakfast and head to Modica to try out the famous chocolate, produced following an ancient Aztec recipe. Then take your time to explore other beautiful pearls of the area: Noto, a city known for its elegant Sicilian Baroque architecture, or the scenic Marzamemi with yellow stone houses arranged around two natural harbors. Day 6 - Catania and Cyclops Riviera: after breakfast, head towards the Cyclops Riviera - a stretch of coast known for its dramatic jagged black rock formations, that inspired Homer. Overnight in Cyclops Riviera
Day 7 - Catania: after breakfast, you may opt to join a city tour of Catania: visit the Duomo, continue along Via Crociferi, Via Etnea, the main street of Catania and Piazza Stesicoro.
