Harlem Globetrotters
Established in 1926 in Chicago, this basketball team played over 1000 games around the US before it changed its name to Harlem Globetrotters and started touring the world. Not only were they the first team to play basketball in Europe, but also the home club of Nathaniel “Sweetwater” Clifton, who became the first African-American player to sign an NBA contract in 1950. The team holds a proud place at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, their show having been seen by popes, kings, queens and presidents. Now Harlem Globetrotters comes to the UK and brings their ball handling wizardry, basketball artistry, and one-of-a-kind family entertainment along.
