Refunds for Eligible Customers

Groupon is offering cash refunds* and/or the ability to convert unused Groupon credits to a cash refund to certain customers who experienced problems with their goods or vouchers (excluding travel vouchers) purchased between 1 October 2018 and 6 October 2021. 

You may be eligible for a cash refund for goods purchases if:

  • Your goods were not delivered within the advertised timeframe, or at all
  • Your goods did not match the description on the advertisement
  • Your goods were of poor quality 
  • Your goods were not fit for purpose 

You may be eligible for a cash refund for voucher purchases if:

  • You could not redeem your voucher because the merchant was fully booked, was unavailable, or did not let you use the voucher 
  • The service did not match the description on the advertisement 
  • The service was of poor quality  

You may also be eligible for a cash refund or conversion of unused Groupon credits to a cash refund if you purchased goods or services vouchers (excluding travel vouchers) between 1 October 2018 and 6 October 2021 and tried to cancel within 14 days of your purchase but were refused a refund**.

Groupon will assess all refund requests on a case by case basis within 7 working days and respond to your refund request to inform you whether or not you qualify for a cash refund and if so the next steps to obtain it.

 

 

*Customers that were offered a Groupon credit for the full purchase price and have fully redeemed the credit are not eligible for a refund. If you received a partial credit or have not fully redeemed your credit you may still be eligible for a refund. 

** This does not apply to vouchers for ticketed events or where the date for redeeming the voucher was selected at the time of booking the voucher.
