After an extensive interior and exterior refurbishment the previously named Houston's has re-launhced with a shiny (and moderately) new name and a polished new image - Houston's Bar and Grill has opened its doors and is now ranked as a cut (get it?) above the rest as one of Leicester's most prominent Steak Houses. Within a softly lit interior of rustic bare brick and olive walls, wooden floors and wicker chairs promotes an air of refined charm. Upstairs a handsome dining room breathes elegance and good taste, with a supportive bar that offers comfort and a fine choice of wine and spirits. With a menu that boasts prime British Steaks, fresh fish and grill classics all sourced from local produce, there really is something for everyone's tastes to choose from. For only £22, that's a mere £11 if your going Dutch, you and a loved one can enjoy a delicious starter and main as well a delicate red to wash down your hearty meal.

Let us whet your appetite a little more, for starters you could go for the succulent Pan Fried Breast of Duck, served on a bed of frizze lettuce, cucumber, spring onion and Hoi Sin sauce (£6.75), or if you're a vegetarian you could go for the Greek classic, Halloumi, Watermelon and Mint Salad (£5.50). Now on to the main event, why don't you go for the faultless juicy Rib Eye Steak (£12.95) we love it with lashings of Béarnaise - DELISH! Or if your more partial to tasty treats from the sea then we highly recommend the Monk Fish with Langoustines served with seasonal veg and a mild chilly butter sauce (£10.95). YUM.
