The stately Macdonald Pittodrie House looks out over its 2400-acre Aberdeenshire estate from the foot of the Bennachie Mountain. The property's historic stone walls surround 27 singularly-styled rooms, which feature period furnishings, wood panelling and open fireplaces. The four-star hotel is home to a restaurant which holds an AA rosette, and refreshments and meals are also served at an orangery, bar and drawing room.

Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea through Groupon. Excellent value. Food was lovely and as much tea as you wished. Staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome, there was no rush and they ensured everything was to our liking. Would recommend this to anyone

We came for a high tea but we had children with us who obviously didn’t have tea so asked for squash. They made sure they didn’t forget to charge £2.60 for it. It really was a bit miserable. Also we struggled to get booked in with our voucher. Apart from that the high tea was lovely and the service good.

We had a lovely Christmas afternoon high tea, the food supplied was delicious and an excellent selection and they provided a vegan option for myself which was amazing. We are already talking about returning again next year at Christmas time. Beautiful setting, excellent service and felt very cosy.

Luxury afternoon tea. It was tasty. The atmosphere is very cozy. People were very nice. Maybe the music would be better if it was classical music to fit with the atmosphere instead of modern songs. Anyway I highly recommend this place!!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon tea. Lovely selection of freshly made savouries , nice home made scone and a fabulous selection of yummy cakes all very well presented . Staff very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The young waiter was very attentive and we could of had as many tea refills as we wanted . We didn’t feel rushed and we sat all afternoon chatting and enjoying the wonderful setting and the cozy fire. It’s one of the nicest places for an afternoon tea , we will definitely be back
