Stale sandwiches, cold and dreary room and not what we expected. Sorry George Hotel but you to up your game to entice me back . The only redeeming feature was that the hotel is dog friendly.

The setting (in winter) isn't good for afternoon tea as it's somewhat cramped and pub-like. It might be better in summer, when the outside tables can be used. Free parking is plentiful. The food was good and plentiful and the service was helpful, but a bit harassed (at the weekend). Beverage refills took some time. Overall, taking into account the well-priced deal, it was fine, but not exceptional.
