From Our Editors

At Finkley Down Farm, Clydesdale heavy horses and fuzzy alpacas are just two of the furry friends that visitors can become acquainted with. The interactive farm allows visitors to get close to the animals with chick-handling and calf-feeding and caters for children with a multitude of fun activities. Riding on mini tractors, playing tug of war and zipping around the indoor play centre are all on the agenda, and there's even a junior farmer day for agricultural wannabes.

We had a very enjoyable day despite the awful weather. The farm and cafe staff were friendly and helpful and we will definitely be back later in the year to take advantage of the outdoor areas.

A great place to visit whatever the weather! Although your free wifi needs checking out: it wasn't working when we visited. We could connect to the wifi, but couldn't actually get online. I queried with other adults there who all said the same thing - we all had to use 3G and some regulars said they've never managed to get the wifi working.....

Finkley has been an established part of my family for 20 years. Could do with a grandparents concession with so many of us now taking on the role of child carer

Some of the staff dealing with the animals were unnecessarily brisk and stand offish. As it is off season, the farm is not in full swing, but a little more effort could be made as the public are still paying to be there. Everything looked a bit desolate and unloved. The indoor play area is lovely.

The groupon was fine, however it didn't make clear that half if the park would be shut due to it being winter, sand therefore a half price entry(the cost of the voucher from groupon) was infact a fair price for what was available to do, and not a discounted price,

Having built the lovely new play area, including new toilet facilities, it might have been a good idea to have installed some hand washbasins in the toilet area at toddler height. Other than that no complaints.
