From Our Editors

Woodborough Hall is a historic hotel in the rolling countryside of Nottinghamshire, featuring a main function room, conference rooms and a number of en suite bedrooms. The Grade II listed building went up in 1660, though records of a hall’s existence on the land date back to the Domesday Book in 1086. The country estate enjoys a tranquil setting, though it is conveniently only a short drive away from the county’s cultural centre, Nottingham.

Very limited menu with some dishes not available. Poor service despite being very quiet. I booked on-line & received confirmation but was told whilst there that there was a wedding that day & it wouldn't be possible for me to eat there that day. I'm only sorry that I still have another Groupon voucher to use there!

A lovel meal in a beuatiful old building which is quite tired but oozed charm. While we were there a wedding was using the downstairs and our dining room was up a lovely staircase. Our meal was very good and a good selection to cater for all tastes. If it was not so far from us I am sure we would use it regularly.

Wanted to charge extra for gravy, and £8 for cheese and biscuits, as my wife is a diabetic and could not eat the sweet on the inclusive menu,

Do not purchase vouchers for this restaurant!!!!!!!!! and do not purchase their direct offer Food not good Service very slow Extra charges for some items on the menu We have been going here for many years and always found it very good but now we will not be going again. We had a voucher to use and we booked via Groupon on line , on the Sunday before we were to go we had a phone call from the restaurant to say our booking was cancelled as Groupon should not have taken our booking. We were asked to book a date the next week . we said we were on holiday and could not make it that week . We were told " that's not our problem you must take it up with Groupon" I assume they had more of their DIRECT bookings so they cancelled Groupons ( I do not know this for a fact ) I would ask Groupon not to take any mor business from Woodborough hall -restaurant in the future as this will tarnish their image

I have eaten here before and it was fine but this time was awful. Half of the menu options weren't available, some of the ones that were had a chargeable supplement and none of the food was of a very high standard. We were all very disappointed.

The girl on reception was rude. Nobody ever answers the telephone. The menu was small and had too many supplement charges. Canapés 1 cocktail sausage and a tartlet with cream cheese and a tiny square of ham very disappointing. We ordered 2 different bottles of wine which they didn't have. Not enough staff.
