Tiggywinkles is a hospital and safe haven for disabled animals of all shapes and sizes, committed to rescuing and rehabilitating British wildlife. The on-site visitors' centre features information and videos on the history of the sanctuary, and encompasses a trail which wends around the pond, the deer paddocks and a sanctuary area. The sanctuary is designed to give wild animals a chance to live a life that is protected but resembles their natural habitat as closely as possible. Tiggywinkles also runs a range of one-day workshops including wildlife first aid, wildlife keeper experiences and animal care diploma courses.

It was a very enjoyable afternoon visit, my grandchildren didn't want to leave and can't wait to return. We were impressed with the care and dedication by the staff and the facilities for all the animals. This visit has increased my grandchildren's appreciation of the need for the protection of all living creatures.

A brilliant day out with a variety of activities for children but also a fantastic opportunity to see our endangered wildlife.

Didn't take too long to walk round but was enjoyable. Was lovely to be able to see the nursery where orphaned or injured animals are being cared for. It's in such a lovely location as well. I loved the fact it wasn't over busy and we weren't rushed. There are picnic tables laid out within the place where we sat to have a bite to eat. My kids loved it.

We had a really good time here and thought it was a great place to come. We did have a problem though in that the only disabled access toilet is also the only ladies one. There was then a que of 4 and no priority for those who really need it. My daughter really can't wait due to being disabled and this would now prevent us from returning which is a shame because we found the rest of it lovely.

My daughter and I had a lovely afternoon here. The place is not too far, but far enough to feel you're in the countryside. There were new areas to see and we enjoyed wa the badgers sleeping and deer in the wood; a rare sight first hand for many people. Staff gave interesting and informative talks and were very helpful as we had a trainee assistance dog with us. Thank you for a lovely afternoon out.
