About The Welsh Rock Café at Inigo Jones Slateworks

Dedicated to slate since 1861, Inigo Jones Slateworks evolved from prefabricating school writing slates and electrical panels to providing slate memorials, decorations, clocks, lamps, mirrors, wall plaques and a plethora of other products available at the on-site shop to this day. Visitors can shop for state-of-the-art slates, or go for a hands-on experience and book a self-guided tour. Visitors can engrave a piece of slate to take home, while children enter a contest to win the slate prize. As the centre aims to provide a complete experience, the staff also run an on-site cafe serving an array of drinks and snacks.
