If I could have given zero stars I would have. I went to this orthodontist to fix a very minor problem with my front teeth, which Karolina confidently told me was really minor and would be fixed in 4/5 months. What I didn’t know at the time (having now consulted many reputable practices) is that at this stage you are always shown a 3D rendering of the results you are expected to get). 7-8 months on and the front teeth I had gone in for have not changed at all. Karolina herself noted how there ‘hadn’t been much movement’ and that we should check what was happening. I had several times come away and said to them that the retainers were loose and again having spoken to many practices and many people who have had this treatment that should never be the case, you would always feel it. I then put all of my retainers (2 per month) side by side and realised there was barely any difference from the first set to the last set. They brought me in for a new scan, which I had to have alone with their male nurse, he was aggressive with the machine in my mouth and when it stopped working commented that it had ‘stopped working like the NHS staff’. I was horrified, he had been unprofessional on the phone when I had booked appointments before loudly exclaiming ‘Jesus jesus’ and shouting at the system he was using but this was the first time I felt how uncomfortable it was to be alone in the room with him and experienced his aggressive and unprofessional behaviour. Following that scan I was really worried as it showed barely any movement and only in the back teeth. They tried to fob me off telling me that different cases take longer and it was down to my teeth, but the exact nature of these type of retainers mean the practice would know in advance exactly what each movement is in advance as they don’t scan you in between visits, so they would know exactly what movement is expected at which point as the braces themselves would show you, and as I mentioned several were also loose. I asked which lab was making the aligners (as they are only a few certified ones in the country) and they wouldn’t tell me. On reading the other damning reviews, which also mentioned the rude and aggressive and unprofessional male nurse I went in again and said exactly what I have written above and voiced my concerns that this elongated process (where you are charged each month) feels deliberate and also like they know full well very little is happening or changing (as was mentioned in many other reviews). At this time the male nurse turned on me, several times taking his mask off to shout at me, making faces behind me (as he had done in other appointments) intimidating me, threatening me and behaving in an extremely frightening way. Karolina several times asked him to calm down and I asked if he could please leave the room to which they refused. I left that day shaking and crying and truly scared and the reviews show I’m not the only one. Don’t ever use this practice, I have reported them.
