Set in privately-owned grounds within a small, secluded orchard, Hoo Hill Maze aims to offer a challenging and enjoyable experience to customers of all ages. The maze was designed and planted by John Brindle in the summer of 1983. With gravelled paths leading to the six-square-metre centre, it covers over 30 metres x 30 metres square and is available for private hire, weddings, parties and other functions. An additional garden area provides a relaxing, peaceful space to enjoy the natural surroundings.
Something different and glad we went. At gate price is £4. Did get the feeling they only in for the money which spoils it a bit BUT kids had fun in maze. Maxe hedges is about 6ft high which add to experience.
Photo of maze in Groupon details is apparently not the maze you get to do.
Maze is good as far as mazes go.
Owner not very welcoming when he sees you have a Groupon voucher.
Good place to have a picnic and plenty of space for children to run around on the grass area. There are sheds to sit indoors on patio chairs etc but are bit unkempt so can be old and not very clean. There is a portaloo and another toilet on site.
Would I recommend? I am not aware of other mazes in the area to compare to but yes, we had fun once we were on our own.
Had a lovely afternoon with the grandchildren. Really well made maze and fascinating creation by the owner.
Great day out for adults and kids take a picnic and you can have a relaxing afternoon there
A really good maze that's been kept in very good condition with toilets and shelter if it rains. It's set in a large orchard with plenty of room for children and adults to go exploring! We spent a lovely couple of hours there.
Pleasant couple of hours. My grandson loved going round the maze,& we inevertably got lost! Was fun joining others who tried to help us get out. Bit tired & needs a little bit of t.l.c. Owner was a bit grumpy at first but pleasant later on.. Needs better directions as we nearly missed the turning.
