From Our Editors
Staffed by Catering and Hospitality students from City College Brighton and Hove, The Gallery Restaurant looks to offer modern cuisine in relaxed surroundings. The restaurant features various seasonal and daily menus to give the trainee chefs in the kitchen as much practice as possible creating a wide range of dishes, while the young front of house staff look to provide attentive service under the guidance of their industry-experienced tutors.
I paid two visits to this reataurant.
The first visit our waiter was excused by his supervisor as being shy. He wasn't. He just didnt like waiting. He disappeared for long periods of time and when he appeared his trousers were half way down his backside. I was amazed that his supervisor allowed this.
Having dealt with that issue, I found the food tasty and well cooked. Excellent value.
Our waiter on the second visit was excellent, fast, efficient and knowledgeable.
Food was again of a high standard for such young chefs.
To be recommended
Great food, beautifully presently and good service.
Food cold. Portions varied from table to table. Students Mark and Benjamin were very good looking after us. A tutor walking round only chose to speak to regulars.

I have visited this restaurant on many occasions over a number of years and taken along a wide range of friends too.
We have always enjoyed excellent food, a great ambience and for me, tables placed far enough apart that you dont have to listen to others conversations!
