About Milton Lodge Gardens
Blossoming shrub roses and scents of yew greet guests, where bucolic terraces afford views of the Vale of Avalon and Wells Cathedral. Originally established in the early 1900s, Milton Lodge Gardens was specifically designed to make use of their surrounding scenery. The gardens have since been passed through four generations of the Tudway family. In the 20th century, the sloping garden was transformed into a series of four terraces, a pool terrace and a central plain, with some plants still growing around eighty years later.
