Very disappointed for the price paid even with the groupon! The facial was the only good point of the trip, massage was awful I have elbow bruises around my shoulder blade on my back, was expecting more than a scone each food wise for the cream tea, small steak and shower room and no jucuzzi/hot tub. No one in the spa reception answers the phone took me 3 days to book and no one ever answered, would waste my money again really disap

2 treatments, plus scones prosecco and a cup of tea is a really good bargain! But....there really is nothing else to recommend this hotel. Seen better days, nowhere to relax by the pool, lots of walking up and down stairs to get to pool. Pool tiny, no jacuzzi, not even a free magazine to read. Needs a complete make over hotel, spa and hotel staff. Don't go expecting to be able to be able to fill more than an hour.

It's very run down .. the pool is small when 3 people are swimming that's enough but there was a baby club on ... the sauna was big enough for 3 max and the steam room a few more The staff weren't very knowledgeable about various things which was annoying and the nail treatment was rushed But for what we paid I suppose it was ok but not the best just because it's an offer it shouldn't be substanda

The staff are nice enough, but the whole place needs a major refurb. I was staring up at brown stained water damaged polystyrene ceiling tiles while having my treatment. Served prosecco in a Lipstick marked glass. The afternoon tea consisted of two scones which were very nice and a hot beverage each, but that was it.

The treatments at the so where brilliant and all the staff very very good and welcoming but this was overshadowed by the run down state of the whole spa facility. It smelt terribly in the changing rooms and pool area. Such a let down we will not be returning which is a shame as the treatments where great.

Took our mum for afternoon tea at Buxton Palace Hotel. Very grand Hitel in appearance. Definitely takes your breath away on entry. Afternoon tea was not to the same standard unfortunately. All the food was a little dry and not presented with much care. I could have done a better job at home! Not much interaction from the staff but plresant enough I suppose. The Groupon deal came with sparkling wines which we had to ask for. I would waste my money again to be totally honest.

We had a great day out but a couple of things could have been better. Firstly the times of the first appointments were messed up meaning we didn't end up getting towels and robes and missed part of our treatment times. They'd booked us in 30 minutes before I'd asked for. Secondly the afternoon tea was OK but not great. The service was poor. The two young girls running the conservatory didn't know what to do, sighed and sulked when we ordered the tea we were already booked in for and then forgot part of our order. They were young girls but they are in customer facing roles so I expected better. Treatments were good and facilities too.

Loved the treatments and staff where lovely, very friendly. The treatments rooms were clean and warm . The toweling robe was £2.50 but we'll worth it. You need to take flip flops The pool was very nice, not too busy,no sun lounger just chairs. The sauna and steam room we're very nice if a little under used only me in :-) The quite room was a little busy only 6 beds, it was a very busy day. Lovely and warm showers, free hair dryers. Free lockers too. We upgraded to the afternoon tea, was a little disappointed with the staff at the bar we had to ask for our drinks twice only to be told they had run out of glasses and had to wash them, we had eaten all the food before we got our champagne. This is the reason for 4 star's
