Based in the Durham Tees Valley Airport, the Durham Aerosports flying school offers trial flights and pilot training packages alike. Sessions take place in the Ikarus C42 Bravo, equipped with BRS and a large-screen GPS, and with contact to air traffic control. Guests can take a course to earn their National Private Pilot’s Licence, featuring one-on-one tuition in 25 hours’ of flight training covering basic manoeuvres, circuits and landings. The Durham Aerosports team consists of Chief Flying Instructor Lawrence Bell, and Managing Director Perry Reid who boasts experience in engineering.
