This year sees The Bowes Museum celebrate its 125th anniversary, offering one of Britain’s most fascinating museum experiences and home to one of the most important collections of European fine and decorative arts in the North of England. Paintings by Old Masters such as El Greco, Canaletto and Goya can be found alongside textiles, fashion, silver and metals, ceramics and furniture. Complimenting a varied exhibition and events programme interactives, storytelling and workshops keep youngsters entertained. Situated in beautiful gardens and parkland, the Museum offers excellent dining and a gift shop.
