We would have preferred to have had the opportunity to each try the same sandwiches. Unfortunately the small scones where so hard they made my teeth ache. On a plus the waitress changed our prosecco for wine as neither I or my friend like it.

Décor is dark and gloomy. Service was dire. Afternoon tea was not worth the money. Couple of nice scones and then the remainder seemed like cheap shop bought cake.

It's a nice hotel but the afternoon tea was disappointing and I'm glad we didn't pay full price. The sandwiches were plain, e.g. ham with no mustard or extras. The bread was a bit gawd as if they had been prepared much earlier. The cakes were better though scones were flat like hockey pucks.

The place is lovely, the staff are fantastic. We went for afternoon tea, it was nice but I felt disappointed... only reason being, the pictures of the afternoon tea photographed were quirky and a little bit different to the regular and this is why we chose this place.. only to be presented with the regular afternoon tea everyone else pictured! So I would recommend it, it was nice, but it's not as pictured :)

A fantastic afternoon. So lovely to spend quality time with my friend in such relaxing surroundings. The food was first class as was the service. We were treated like royalty.
