The restaurant was pleasant in a quiet location. Our drinks order was taken but the waiter left for the airport without serving us and so the waitress delivered the food and then had to take our order again! Food was fresh, ok but nothing special although we did enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

We would have preferred to have had the opportunity to each try the same sandwiches. Unfortunately the small scones where so hard they made my teeth ache. On a plus the waitress changed our prosecco for wine as neither I or my friend like it.

Décor is dark and gloomy. Service was dire. Afternoon tea was not worth the money. Couple of nice scones and then the remainder seemed like cheap shop bought cake.

It's a nice hotel but the afternoon tea was disappointing and I'm glad we didn't pay full price. The sandwiches were plain, e.g. ham with no mustard or extras. The bread was a bit gawd as if they had been prepared much earlier. The cakes were better though scones were flat like hockey pucks.
