Generally the hotel was lovely, nice atmosphere. The treatment was great( my daughter and I had the back massage) but although access to the facilities were included , those were limited to a sauna and gym so you could not spend the whole day there. The afternoon tea was great but service was to be desired. We were shown to the table but once we were served no one came tto our table. We had to ask for the fizz that was included. We asked a waitress if we could have a box to put the cakes to take away as we could eat it all . We waited 15 mins but she never came back eventually we asked another waiter . He brought us a box not a carton one but a polystyrene ( like the one you get a kebab in) That was not good. But other than that it was a good experience. The best thing was the hotel provides you with a parking permit for the day

We booked 5 vouchers for a friends 50th birthday. I had a rather unpleasant dealing with a member of staff on the phone. I was told at time of booking that we would be given robes and slippers. I called the day before to confirm to be told this wasn't true and it wasn't the hotels problem that we would not be able to get any at 7pm on a bank holiday. We arrived having booked our afternoon tea early at 11:30 as the first treatments started at 1. We were then told that the restaurant didnt open until 12. There was a very helpful lady who tried to arrange an alternative for us. The afternoon tea itself was lovely. It didn't come out at 12 so we had to rush it as we needed to be down in the spa at 12:45 half an hour to eat an afternoon tea is not really enough. Upon arriving in the spa we then were offered robes and slippers and offered to sit in the relaxation room. Unfortunately we had varying experiences. One of my friends had a lovely facial. Mine was fine but the therapist didn't speak to me once about my skin or at all apart from at the beginning and end. Three of my friends had manicures. They did not last 30 mins as advertised. Their cuticles were not trimmed, nails not painted properly and by the time we got out they were scatched and varnish coming off. The nail varnish across all three were not good quality. To be honest it felt like a conveyer belt. It was advertised as a spa day but really was not. A disappointing birthday present to have paid for.

Well organised and easy process to use the voucher. Pamper session is always great - professional and relaxing. The afternoon tea is excellent. We love the home made cakes, relaxed environment and as much tea as you can drink!

When we arrived, the receptionist had no recordings of our booking, to which we seemed to be an inconvenience after showing the emails to prove we had booked prior. After this, I felt the treatment we had was very rushed and was around 15 minutes rather than the 30 minutes we had booked. Once we had finished, we had no instruction where to go, or what facilities we could use whilst waiting for our afternoon tea. We had to ask several questions and whilst waiting we could hear all the workers speaking about the inconvenience of groupon bookings and how they should differ the bookings next time which clearly made us feel uncomfortable. After, we sat in the 'relaxation area' for 2 hours (a room with 5 chairs and mini kitchen for making hot drinks) after finding out there's no pool/jacuzzi which was expected for the title "spa day". This was also backed up when we heard the next customers also explaining how they were expecting more facilities due to the nature of the booking. When we went for our afternoon tea, we were shown to a room with only one other couple in the room to which we were stared out the entirety of the time by two waitresses which made me feel uncomfortable eating, they were not speaking to one another just waiting for one of us to finish. As soon a we finished, it seemed like a huge rush to clear the table which I believe is rude and made me feel like an inconvienience again. The food was lovely and presentation was great otherwise.
