About Murton Farm

Located just outside Forfar, North East Scotland, Murton Trust is a registered charity and runs a visitor farm, tearoom, nature reserve and educational centre. It is a popular attraction where visitors can meet a collection of animals and birds including Kune Kune pigs, goats, rare breed poultry, donkeys, ferrets, guinea pigs, pheasants and more. The farm's play area offers sand pits, pedal toys and an adventure trail. Situated at the edge of the farm is a tea room serving a range of home cooking and baking using locally sourced and seasonal produce. Murton is also home to a nature reserve. Since opening ten years ago, staff, alongside the volunteers have been working hard to develop and enhance the nature reserve to create a peaceful setting. Families can enjoy a walk or stroll through well-maintained paths and appreciate the beauty of lochs and wetlands. Murton Trusts also provides land-based education to children and school leavers including estate maintenance, animal husbandry and landscaping.
