Keep up the good work guys, lovely food could be a bit warmer but not something that worries me, just thinking of the oldies.

The worst afternoon tea ever. The presentation was awful, the food was not edable, the sandwiches were nearly all egg, no choice, scones were not homemade, and were soggy where they had been de frosted. The cream tasted off, the tea cups were dirty, as was the table and the tea pots. The man serving was wearing a very dirty apron. Not appealing. The tea pots were 70s style metal, and there was no offer of speciality teas. The sandwiches came on a metal plate covered in cling and wrap, we came with friends and we had to keep apologising, in the end we had to laugh because it was just so bad.........these type of meals are all about presentation, and this was the worst ever. To top it off, the shop was very cold as the door did not seem to shut properly. A place to avoid in future and the lesson here is not to believe the write up of the experience and to totally ignore the pictures as they were not reality.

I took my family for the afternoon tea on Saturday and I'd have to say it was the worst afternoon tea I've ever had, the sandwiches were very poor and the scones were dry and of very poor quality. The floor was very dirty and we all had to keep our coats on as it was cold

The cakes were a bit heavy and dry, but, thats just personal preference I suppose.

Although I thought the value and service was good, it did feel a bit like a "greasy spoon afternoon tea". I would recommend some different crockery for serving, perhaps having a choice of sandwich off the menu to make it easier and different to more traditional teas which don't really suit the cafe as it is. I think the cafe needs to decide if it is more "caff" that cafe; it would suit the area if the decor was changed and it became a little more upmarket, but please not pretentious! Brownie (bit more chocolate cake than brownie mind) was lovely with cream BTW!
